Beth Duffy
Free and Low-Cost Therapy

My name is Beth Duffy, and I am an MFT Trainee offering individual, couple, and family therapy sessions. As I work toward licensure, I am supervised by Nichole Hydaryacil, LMFT #108460, a licensed therapist and Assistant Clinical Director at the Daybreak Child, Couple, and Family Therapy Clinic.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a belief that each person carries inner strengths and wisdom, even when parts of themselves feel overwhelmed or stuck. Having experienced the transformative power of therapy firsthand, I bring compassion, curiosity, and openness into the room. With a background in nonprofit work centered on community building and mentorship, I am deeply motivated by connection and by helping people feel affirmed and supported within themselves and in their relationships. As a therapist-in-training and lifelong learner, I aim to meet clients where they are and offer an inclusive and supportive space that encourages healing, insight, and growth.
As an MFT trainee, I do not yet have a specialty, but I am interested in working with individuals and couples around the following concerns:
- Depression
- Anxiety (including general anxiety, social anxiety, and performance-related anxiety)
- Perfectionism and a strong inner critic
- Stress and overwhelm
- Couples and intimate relationship dynamics
- Perimenopause and menopause-related transitions
- Identity exploration
- Self-esteem and self-worth
- Family-of-origin patterns
- Attachment wounds and relational trauma
- Complex trauma
- Grief and loss
- Work-related stress and burnout
- Midlife transitions
- Drug and alcohol use
- Mindfulness and mind-body awareness
- individuals seeking deeper self-understanding, even without a specific diagnosis or label
As an MFT trainee, I am a volunteer and do not charge for my services. However, after fifteen free sessions, Daybreak may require a $10 fee for each subsequent session. Sessions with me are over Zoom for clients residing anywhere in California or in-person in Anaheim, California. You must be a California resident to receive services.
If you are interested in working with me or have questions about starting therapy, please feel free to reach out at Beth.Duffy@daybreak.edu.
